the interview process is entirely behavioural and quite transparent. managers take great care in explaining job roles and expectations and also go over benefits and any other questions the candidate may have.

Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – Mon, 26 Oct 2015

Interviewed Oct 2015 in Toronto, ON(took 21 days)
Applied online and then there were two rounds of interviews. The first was a one hour behavioural interview followed by a one hour written case. If you pass this, they invite you to a dinner where you can speak to reps. The second round happened the day after the dinner and was another one hour behavioural interview followed by a one hour written case. Generally, the process was great and the people were nice. Just be sure to brush up on your math for the cases. The one downside was that I never received a call with feedback after finding out that offers went out.

The interview process was very relaxed and friendly. Telus is very client service oriented so it's good to have a customer service background. You'll be asked a variety of questions starting from a bit about yourself to why you want the job. Standard interview stuff. You'll also be asked if you've ever been required to meet budgets before. It's good to have some experience with that as well cause it's a big part of the job. The overall experience was smooth and easy if you come from the right background.

Short Q & A with a department manger, an informal discussion of previous history, work ethic etc. This also included a description of the job duties and responsibilities. The interview was held in the manager's office on-site and only took about 1/2 an hour. There were no follow-up interviews or meetings with other managers even though the job required interaction with several other departments.

Process followed in this order: Online application, online test simulation, phone interview, in person interview, background check, job offer. Occasionally you may be required to job shadow if necessary during your first in person interview. The interview process if very textbook and standard, they just want to ensure you are competent, friendly and your thought process for situations you will encounter on the job.

One hour discussion with HR representative. General questions on experience. Not in very depth details of the job provided by HR. After a week I received short email informing me that they will not continue the process in my case, without any other reason (not enough experience, budget etc). No reply whatsoever at my kindly request to get a detailed feedback in order to calibrate myself for other interviews. Even acting in a big company as Telus, there is a huge difference between Romanian HR and HR from abroad! But great location.

Phone, then skills tests, Phone, onsite with Sales Managers, then meet Director of Business for a chat followed by a sales presentation. After this was all done you wait another week or two (after sending a thank you note right after your interviews) then you may get the job offer sent directly by your future manager.

After applying, basic phone interview where they asked you behavioural questions. The second part is a business case presentation where you have to come up with an idea that could benefit Telus by offering monetary or customer service value. The presentation was difficult, we had to ask questions about the other candidates presentations and was be graded on that. The interviewers basically sat and listened to us partake in a business case. Make sure to ask good questions based on their presentation and how it can help Telus make money Third part is a face to face interview with the board of directors and managers.

I applied online, they called me 2 week after for the interview and I received news from them 1 week after. I talked with the store manager for the whole process, not with the HR.

I applied online and got an email two weeks later with a time for a phone interview , Only one engineer interviewed me with very straight forward behavioral questions along with a couple of technical questions. He was very nice and clear in his questions. the whole interview took about one hour. I was offered the position 3 weeks after my interview and the background check took another 2 weeks. just make sure to think out loud, they are interested in your thinking process and how you get to your answer.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Vancouver, BC(took 60 days)
First a long telephone interview with the manager, then wait for one month before getting the phone call again. No technical questions and only a 5 hours testing, similar to GRE testing. Then meeting with the director and chat for a hour, then got the offer.

I went through 3 interviews and an assessment all the interviews where the same and had the basic interview questions: How did you learn about us? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Tell me a time where you had to over come an issue? The assessment was timed and included a personality test that seem to go on for ever. 3 separate interviews seemed excessive.
